Today, August 21, America celebrates National Senior Citizens Day — a special day to recognize the older Americans whose hard work, sacrifice, wisdom, and love helped shape the families and communities we know today.
The observance was officially proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1988, encouraging Americans to recognize the achievements and contributions of senior citizens and to show appreciation for everything they continue to bring to society. They are our parents, grandparents, veterans, teachers, workers, neighbors, mentors, and friends. Many lived through extraordinary moments in American history — wars, economic struggles, huge technological changes, and decades of social transformation.
Today is a beautiful opportunity to call a parent or grandparent, visit an older neighbor, listen to their stories, or simply say “thank you.” Sometimes a few minutes of our time can mean more than we realize.
But their greatest legacy may not be found in history books. It lives in the families they raised, the lessons they passed down, the communities they helped build, and the memories they created.Lovers, Horse And Pony Shows, Men And Mice, Cartoon Hits Across The Decades, Winners, Losers, Learners, Rats To Roaches, Walks Of Fame.Boys to men, FOREVER HOME: Illuminati Exposed.Until Tomorrow: Shine.Heads, Hearts, Hands To Guide, Golden Years. Check the website for the departments. Don’t expect a quick response but email and then call the later that day or next day. I have several documents from this past fall with their company logo, etc on the letterhead area, so it should be possible.
